#ReverseYourRoutine
** I received free products thanks to Influenster and TRESemme in return for my honest review. All opinions are my own. **
One thing I can not stand is having my stick straight hair that has to be sliced up with a straight razor a couple of times a month, just so I can have messy, spiky hair in the back for my favorite, over a decade, easy peasy hairstyle that I absolutely LOVE! I visit my friend's salon once per month, sometimes twice, and I often have to stand on the porch, scraping away at my hair with a straight razor just to get a little, itsy, bitsy bit of texture. Naturally, conditioner is usually out of the question because this has always only made my hair even worse. It totally weighs it down. I will use conditioner on days when I plan on staying in my pajamas and staying in the house. But, my hair is also dry and I kind of need more conditioning. So, I was super ecstatic to see the very clever and new idea from TRESemme, Reverse Your Routine!

I have used TRESemme products in the past but I was never a diehard TRESemme user. I really like their products and we do purchase them sometimes but, I haven't ever been totally brand loyal to any specific hair care brand. I have my favorites but there are a few favorites and I am just not ready to commit myself to just 1. So, anyway, I received my Voxbox in the mail and my 9 year old daughter and I tried this new invention the same evening.
I have to say that the heat and humidity here in East Central PA has been unbearable! I am anxiously counting down the days until hockey season, Halloween, and lots and lots of snow. When the humidity is this bad, my hair just gets worse and even more flat and even more annoying. I feel like shaving it all off really. I want to get a better take on these products since I feel that the odds are stacked against them at the moment. At least with my hair. I will say that they work very well for my daughter's extremely long hair and her knots haven't been as bad since using the TRESemme Pre Wash Conditioner and the Volume Shampoo.
The scent seems a bit to "perfumy" for me, but, that's just me. I prefer a clean, fresh scent or a fruity scent. But, the scent is really long lasting and this seems to be so hard to achieve with other brands. My 9 year old likes the scent because she can smell her hair and it's still there, all day. Plus, she says it smells, "pretty". (She is the princess type so, she would know!)
For volume, I would say that yes, it did seem to add quite a bit of volume to her hair. Mine, not so much. But again, this is something I must revisit in the near future. I would also like to try more TRESemme products to see how they work for our hair.
I still think this is the perfect hashtag for this brand and I love that they took something so simple, something that somebody should have thought of by now, and owned it. It reminds me of when we have breakfast for dinner, or having dessert before dinner. (Yes, I've done it and you should too!) The whole concept opens up a whole new world. Just imagine how liberating it would be to reverse everything! (Probably make you feel a little like Spongebob Squarepants!) and that my friend, is a very, very, very good thing!

Do You Trust Brands With Only 5 Star Reviews?
I sure don't. I absolutely, positively will not trust a brand who has nothing but, 5 star ratings, everywhere on the internet. Especially when there are several BBB complaints, (which the company can not erase....)
I just can not find any reason to think that there will ever be a pretty large company, skin care company, who only has 100% results, every time and with everybody. It is just not possible.
I feel bad for people who may fall into the trap of companies like this and end up spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars, trying to get that beautiful, perfect looking skin and getting stuck in subscription services and not being able to tell ahead of time that this company has BBB complaints about being overcharged, not receiving phone calls back, things not being credited to their bank accounts and having reactions to chemicals in their products.
I feel offended by this, in many ways and I wish more consumers would be more aware of these tiny things that could end up helping them make a decision as to whether they would like to do further business with the brand.
I have been researching this specific company ever since I was invited to an online party by a friend who I believe, has been brainwashed by the overly excited representatives of this company.
Here is what I found while surfing the web:
1) I found a few links for potential bad reviews, but instead, it ended up being a blog post or a post on the brand's website or a Youtube video, with a title that read, "Is...... a scam" or "My bad experience with....." and when you click, it is a representative of that company who created the misleading title, knowing that people are out there, looking for honest reviews of this brand.
This hurts me. It is immoral and it is wrong. It also makes me question what in the world is wrong with your product that you can not allow real reviews to be posted?
2) I found an article on Good Housekeeping, not a great article/review and not necessarily a horrible one either. BUT, they definitely had some issues with the specific product that they reviewed.
Now, I trust Good Housekeeping, in fact, I emulate them and I can not believe what I found in the comments section.
7 representatives, literally flipping out and insisting that Good Housekeeping didn't use this specific tool properly and they are so happy that Good Housekeeping was able to provide the results they provided, even when they didn't use it properly.
Ok, first of all, it was used properly. 3 of the test subjects had to drop out of the review due to skin irritation. That isn't uncommon. So, why try and hide this?
"I agree with .... and ..... As far as I'm concerned THIS IS GREAT NEWS!! Considering they did not follow instructions or learn the specifics of the entire .......... regimen and still had results."
"So... the roller wasn't used according to manufacturer's instructions, that is, in conjunction with the ....... regimen. No before-and-after images are shown with this review. Yet even with that a third of participants preferred the results they got with the roller. Seems to me the ...... performed quite admirably given the handicap it had in your testing process."
The above comments and many more, were ALL made by brand reps. Why are they stalking the internet, 24/7, to rip people down and tear them apart if they say even 1 thing that may bring down their superficial, dishonest, 5 star review status they have on the internet?
3) The reps are all over the internet with very catty replies to absolutely any and every comment you will find on any video or article. Are they told to do this by their higher ups? and if so, why would or why should, anybody trust a brand who uses such dishonest and misleading practices?
4) The reviewers are reps and they are not disclosing this information. It is a law, FTC law as a matter of fact, to fully disclose ALL relations with a company and if the products were free and if you were paid to review these products.
How do I know they are reps?
I can't say every single one is positively a rep but I guarantee they were promised something in return for their reviews. However, I was able to track several of the so called "reviewers", straight to their Facebook pages and their own websites and sure enough, they are reps. Same names, same everything.
5) This comoany has removed the option to review on their Facebook page. I actually posted on their Facebook and asked, "Why can't people post their reviews on your Facebook page?" They replied with this:
Hi Brandy, Thank you for your question, we welcome your feedback. Our Facebook page is a our brand page and we currently allow comments and public wall posts. We encourage you to leave your comments and reviews on our page. Thank you.
Ok, that would be great! However, all I can find from the very beginning of their Facebook page creation, is a bunch of reps and photoshopped before and after shots. (More on that in another post.)
So, what did I conclude from my research and investigations?
I concluded that this brand/company is hiding to much. They train their reps to use dishonesty in order to collect customers and even more potential reps. I can not trust and will never trust a decent sized brand's Twitter or Facebook, being 100% clean and flawless. Not 1 complaint, anywhere and the cult like behaviors by their reps is seriously disturbing.

InstaNatural Retinol Moisturizer with Vitamin C Review
I considered myself quite the lucky girl to be accepted for yet another, InstaNatural review opportunity, thanks to, Brandbacker.
I applied for a few of them and was accepted for each one, so far. (Fingers crossed!)
You may have read my previous review of a couple very cool InstaNatural products. (Youth Express Eye Serum....) I am still using those products, by the way and I have actually noticed even more positive results with them so, I will be sticking with them for the time being!
I received a package from InstaNatural with a couple new goodies and I rushed right to the bathroom to wash my face and try them out!
The Retinol Moisturizer with Vitamin C is to be used twice per day, Once during the day and once at night. Since it is a retinol product, they do suggesy using a sunscreen afterwards, because retinol can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. If you already have sensitive skin, you should probably use this product only once, at night.
This formula was very easy to use, (InstaNatural has the coolest, handiest pump contraption and it works perfectly!) The moisturizer goes on very smoothly and doesn't have an overpowering scent and doesn't feel sticky or make my skin burn like I had first thought it might. (because of the retinol.)
A small amount goes a long way. Which is another reason I love these products so much. You truly only need a tiny dab and for the extremely reasonable price, this 3.4oz bottle could last you quite a long time. ($23.75 a bottle!)
I am actually shocked at the prices of their products, since most lines I have used that have similar products, seem to cost a bit more and also have much smaller sizes.
I receive lots of samples and products, between monthly subscriptions to review opportunities and free gifts with purchase items and most other retinol products I have tried in the past, tend to leave a sticky, sometimes tight feeling on my skin. Even though they say it can be worn under make up, I usually end up waiting a bit and washing it back off or just using it at night because I don't like the feeling it leaves! (Especially under make up!)
I was surprised because this product did not have that same feeling. As long as you apply with a circular and upward motion, it actually feels quite nice! (There is a slight tingly feeling and a feeling that it will almost start feeling tight but that goes away fairly quick.)
What is retinol?
Retinol is a very powerful antioxidant derived from vitamin A. It is the safest, strongest and most trusted ingredients for anti aging skincare products. Retinol, converts into, Retinoic Acid, once it is absorbed into your skin. Retinoic Acid starts working immediately, to help restore your skin and helps to reduce the signs of aging and sun damage. Sounds like a miracle, eh?
I am 40 and a grandmother of 2, with 3 small children still at home, lol! So, I will try anything and everything at least once! But, if it has a secret power like this stuff does, I will use it and slather it on my skin as often as recommended!
Oh, by the way, that slight tingling and tightness I mentioned above? It was gone within the short time it took to read the last paragraph!
My makeup glides on perfectly with this underneath and although I have not been using it for to long yet, (it's only been a week.), my skin does feel tighter and more refined.
Oh! That's right! I almost forgot to share the special, key ingredients with you!
I was thrilled enough with the ingredients in the last batch of InstaNatural products I tried and the same thing goes for the Retinol Moisturizer with Vitamin C.
The key ingredients are:
2.5% Retinol
Vitamin C
Hyaluronic Acid
Jojoba Oil
Shea Butter
Green Tea
What do you think?

Dual Ended ChapStick Hydration Lock Moisture and Renew Review
* Disclosure: I received a free product and coupons from ChapStick and Smiley360, in return for my opinions and honest review of this product. Receiving a free sample, product, coupons or payment never sways my opinion or review and I will always disclose exactly what I received in return for my review *
Hi, my name is Brandy, and my drug of choice is, lip products! Glosses, moisturizers, glitters, plumpers, stains, lipsticks and ChapSticks. (Honestly, I should say, "My drugs of choice are beauty products of all shapes and sizes!"
I can't help it, especially since I turned 40 and became a grandma, I am an extra, super, duper beauty junkie. (I'm trying to keep my cute, youthful glow for another 40 years, or um, as much as possible!)
I am notorious for applying glosses and chapsticks, several times a day. After every drink, snack, meal, phone call, teeth brushing, before grabbing the mail, before running errands, at work, before work, after work, in the winter, fall, spring and summer and after every time I bite dead skin from my lips and every time I lick the scented goodness from my lips! (Hey, don't judge! Who doesn't get hungry for cotton candy when you smell it all day?)
Ok, see, I admit I have this problem, sooo, it isn't the same thing, right? Well, it does suck. It is easily hidden with sloppy applications of goopy, pink, glittery, glosses that end up smelling even more like candy apples, pop rocks, cherries, strawberry cheesecakes, peppermint, spearmint, oh my, it's making me hungry just thinking about it!
I have tried everything, well, I thought I did. I mean, I think lip stains and lip sticks are so groovy, but I never get to use them often, unless they are slobbered over with some tasty lip gloss and even then, it doesn't last real long.
I do tend to favor glossy, pinks, bright reds, bright pinks, even whites and usually some sort of glimmer, shimmer or glitter. But, I always loved the look of lip stain, maybe just with some shimmery, white gloss, right in the middle of my lips. (It seems to make them look more plump and juicy!) But, lip stain, no matter the shade, does not look so pretty on bitten up lips.
No, my lips aren't bitten down to a bloody, painful pulp, but there is probably a little sliver of skin that I can rip off my lips with my teeth at any moment. I sometimes have this odd belief that if I rip enough off, I'll make them smooth again, however, this only seems to work for about an hour. (Do not try this at home!)
Anyway, I received a special little goody package from, Smiley360 and ChapStick in the mail and I ripped it out of the pack and tried this snazzy tube of, Dual Ended Hydration Lock Moisture and Renew ChapStick and after making several goofy attempts to open it and twist the end to bring this moisturizing dream come true, up so I could try it out, I realized I was not to twist the bottom at all! (Another, do not try this at home!!)
I realized, "Oh, duh! It's dual ended, so, both sides have to open and both sides need to twist up and both ends have their own little dial to twist, directly beneath it!"
Luckily, the other end wasn't to smooshed up, but it almost hit the cap and there would've went my nice new ChapStick.
I finally had it figured out and was able to use it.....My very first impression was, well, this is ok, but, it doesn't seem to awesome, I mean, it doesn't taste like anything and it doesn't glide on like gloss?? Well, of course it isn't going to and of course it shouldn't, otherwise, it'll defeat it's purpose! (Unless it's just me who has this problem?)
After a few minutes and no tingling or burning, I thought, "Hmmmmm. This can't be so bad, I mean, it definitely felt like it was moisturizing and renewing because, I instantly felt and could see improvement!
I continued to use this a few times a day, for a few days, all by itself!! No, glittery, hot pink glosses, no shimmery, marshmellow scented and tricking me into tasting it and guess what? There were even MORE improvements!
(The only thing that did not improve was me, remembering NOT to twist the bottom of 1 end when trying to bring up the other side!) I really wish there was a better way to package this goodness but, I can't for the life of me, figure out a better way. (Again, is it just me?)
I decided to treat myself to some lip stain and gloss, I don't care for just the matte look but I have to find another way for the shimmery look because I was right at the biting and ripping layers off again.
The good thing was/is, that, ChapSticks Hydration Lock Moisture and Renew actually works. I don't come across this very often with lip products who swear up and down to provide you with some amazing benefits. But, this stuff is like rehab for lip biters, peelers, pickers and even people who live in warmer, humid climates or cold, windy climates and everybody in between.
What else is nice about this product is the price. I have seen it as high as $2.99 but as low as $1.99, regular price.
Just last week a local retailer offered these at a dreamy price, 2 for $3! (Collect some 50 cents off 1 coupons to make an even better deal!)
Have you tried this new product from, ChapStick?
What did you think?
What lip remedies or products have you tried that actually helped with improving the look and feel of your lips?

NAAT Brazilian Keratin Review
Even as "frugal" as I am. there are just some things I will spend money on, and that is cleaning and beauty products. (That includes the whole family too, not just me!) Of course I hope for the deals and sales, and free shipping, and I usually will not buy online unless it is on sale in some way, shape or form. I shop online a LOT, and of course I do use the coupons and deals at grocery and drug stores, I am crazy over the rewards programs they offer!! Especially CVS! So far, I have no real preference with hair products.
I use only a few specific brands, but I am not partial to any of them. I guess it's fair to say that I had an open slot that could be filled;) (I do however have only 1 brand and type of hair styling product, but as for shampoo, conditioner, and masks, kind of, anything goes in that department!)
I am pretty picky about cleaning products, and skin care, same goes for make up, but I am always on the lookout for something else to try, I love samples and if I love the product, I will buy it again and again and again..
I received some hair care products from nuNAAT to try out for a review here, NAAT Brazilian Keratin, to be exact, and I don't know what to do without the hair mask, shampoo, and conditioner once it's all!
I have super dry hair, I rarely have the time to bother with it, (I have short hair and the back is razor cut, so I just have to wash it, and stick paste in the back to stick it up all over the place and that's that!) That has been my hair and style for a bit over 15 years now. It's simple and quick to take care of, but it is always dry and breaks apart. I think most of this is due to my medications, maybe also my lack of conditioner use, since it always tends to weigh down my stick straight hair, I very rarely use it.
I have yet to find any form of conditioner that doesn't weigh down my hair, and the same goes for hair masks. (Even though I love hair masks!! ) I usually use those when I don't have to be anywhere or do anything, I can just let my "hair down" so to speak:)
I have been using the NAAT Brazilian Keratin shampoo, hair mask and conditioners now for a couple weeks.
I have come to these conclusions:
First off, the light, clean scents layer perfectly with each other! They are not overbearing, and they even smell AFTER a few hours, and even a day! This is very important to me, I have used some products that smell just lovely in the shower, but it doesn't last much after that. I'm also not a huge perfume fan, I do like some, but I rely on long lasting hair and body products, scented lotions are my favorites too! So, the long lasting scents that simply just smell, pretty, were enough for me to think these products rock!!
Next, the hair mask is absolutely wonderful!! It is not to heavy and it works very well! My hair stayed soft all week from the very first use, and normally for me, it doesn't last much more then a day. (and no, I don't blow dry my hair ever!)
The conditioner I tried, is the Deep Conditioner, along with the Deep Moisturizing Shampoo, they fit perfectly together and no, the conditioner did not weigh my hair down!! I am so happy with the shampoo because while it is deep moisturizing, it makes your hair feel and look clean, and it is enough by itself a few days a week for adding moisture in your hair.
The Liquid Keratin Leave In Reconstructor, I did use only twice, but I was very pleased with the amount of actual reconstrucing that this product really did! I have split ends, and it seemed to actually help with repairing those. I am planning on having our princess Genevive try this product out because she has super long hair and it is so hard to keep that in order lol! Some days I just want to shave it all off!
There is also the Serum Ultra Shine, this is mainly for people who do blow dry, or use curling irons, straighten their hair, etc. It forms a barrier between your hair and the heat. I have not tried this, but since Genevive is 6 and has this crazy long hair of hers, I am hanging onto this to use with her hair as soon as we get her a hair dryer. (no, we don't even have 1 in the house since our oldest daughter moved out and took half the bathroom with her lol! But, we do need to find a good one for the next little lady in line!)
All in all, I would say I have found quite the product with the NAAT Brazilian Keratin products, and I am honestly amazed with the fact that I haven't lost volume, and my stick straight, razor cut hair in the back, isn't weighed down and actually looks and feels much better then it has before, and in a very long time!! You can find out more about their products, on their website here!
and you can find them on Facebook!
and Twitter!!

Hair Shadz & Sun Shadz by Monimay Inc
Have you ever heard of or even thought of scalp cancer? I personally haven't to tell you the truth, but after reading about this product and about scalp cancer, I will be doing what I can to prevent such a disease. Especially for my little ones. Of course I know about skin cancer, and I even attended beauty school several years ago, which led me on a mission to slather sunblock on, on a daily basis, but I never really used any prevention for the top of my head.
We do try to keep hats on the kids when they're outside during the summer months, and especially in the pool, but I think this is something that usually just overlooked.
Monimay Inc has created a most triumphant product, Sun Shadz, which contains all natural micronized mineral sunscreen. (Sun Shadz has SPF 15 scalp protection.) Sounds cool so far, right? Hang on, you are seriously in for a treat with this product!!
It's actually better then amazing, and a super duper multi tasker! (Which saves your scalp, can save your life, saves your hair, AND your hair color!) Really, it's actually quite awesome. I was not sure what to think when I received my Sun Shadz in the mail.
To be really honest, I'm like a bit of a nerd, and I also sometimes lack some common sense. So, I opened the container, and luckily my husband was here, because I didn't really get how I was to close the container without the brush being destroyed. Wow! Yeah, that is how I get sometimes, and no, I am not proud of that, lol, especially when it was something real simple, that ended up being the neatest part of this little container!

Deegan helped to model with our bottle of Sun Shadz;) Here it is with the lid off, now watch where I get confused somehow;o

Yes, I didn't even think for a second that the bottle would actually lift up, over the brush, so that you could close the cap without catching any bristles, and simply put the cap back on!! But, wow! I have never seen this before!! I love it! The brush itself is enough to make me love this product, but after the handy little trick, I couldn't stop talking about it!! Are you interested yet??
If you want to find out more, you can order and read more about Sun Shadz here!
You can find Sun Shadz in 10 different shades, as well as a translucent shade. (So, yeah, there should be a fit for everybody;) The brush makes it very easy to apply, and dispenses the product very nicely and even;y distributes it on your scalp and your hair. You don't have to worry about greasiness or anything unfavorable, (yes, we really tried this!), because it can also be used as a dry shampoo!!
What else can this be used for? It blends in regrowth, adds volume and helps hide exposed scalp, (due to thinning hair). So on top of helping you and your children avoid scalp cancer, it can also be used at the same time for some extremely useful needs! I also have to add in here that it does indeed live up to the "volume" comment.
I love this product and the fact that it isn't a spray or any other kind of greasy glob you would have to apply, nor is it messy! The price is very reasonable, ($29.95) and you can save money by purchasing refills!
The creator behind this amazing and one of a kind invention has made this her passion for years, since sadly, losing her own mother at the young age of 52, to a malignant melanoma on her scalp. I think it's wonderful that she has now made it her destiny to create Sun Shadz, for others to prevent such a horrible disease. You can find Monimay Inc on Facebook!
Hair Shadz and Sun Shadz are endorsed by the International Melanoma Foundation, licensed with PETA, and have a Dermatology signature of approval.

Perfective Ceuticals Skincare
Perfective Ceuticals has been one of my very favorite reviews so far!
I was super excited to try out their products and it was especially cool that they just let me choose for myself.
It was very hard to pick just 1 product, so I chose 3, and messaged them with hose choices and they chose for me. Luckily, they sent me my most favorite and most used skin care product, eye cream!!
I received Perfective Ceuticals Anti Imperfection Eye Therapy with Growth Factor, and I really have nothing bad to report about this eye cream, at all.
It may seem expensive when you first check it out on their website, ($72) but it is a good size bottle, 0.5 fl oz, and I use this every morning and every night. I believe this size will last me another month and a half, maybe 2. (and believe me, I slather it on, especially this kind) Maybe that would be the only bad part, lol, well, it isn't really. It isn't sticky, it certainly makes your eye area feel soft and moisturized instantly. Not to mention, I have seen a difference within the first week of using this product.
The fact that it's also in a pump is a huge plus! I often have issues with the little tubes most other eye creams come in, and just like toothpaste, there is always some that ends up getting wasted. Either to much comes out when you get down pretty low, or you just get sick of it, and you throw it away.
I am a very generous eye cream user, and I currently have 4 others in my stock. I have been using eye cream since being a teenager, (a long, long time ago;), and this is one of the first in all these years that have truly produced results I can see myself. Of course you can cover up and use highlighters and things, but when you want to really treat your skin and actually help the problem, rather then mask it, I would recommend Anti Imperfection Eye Therapy with Growth Factor.
Trying this product also makes me want to try out some of what else they have to offer. Particularly the mask and skin brightening serum I also had down for choices. Considering the prices of other brands, and the sizes of their products, Perfective Ceuticals either comes very close, (within a few dollars), or beats them. So, rather then grab my next skin care regimen from my current brand, I am going to try Perfective Ceuticals.
Oh, and they also have some nice sales, this eye cream is actually on sale right now!
But, I think I would like to try the Divine Brightening System first. This system helps with uneven skin tone, lines and wrinkles, sun damage, discolored pigments, and loss of elasticity. I am going to be praying that this line does as well as the eye therapy, because again, I have used numerous skin brightening products from several brands throughout the years, and I have to say, i have yet to see results, at least results that were awesome enough to make me grab those products again.
The people behind Perfective Ceuticals are very clever, and all of them combined have come up with some very interesting products.
The following is taken from their website under the "about us" tab:
Perfective Ceuticals is allied with renowned biochemists, medical specialists and doctors in developing the finest and most advanced formulas to provide comprehensive solution targeting the aspects of skin aging. The company addresses the importance of complimenting cutting edge science with naturally derived ingredients and century old methods that have proven results.
In 2007, Perfective Ceuticals broke new ground in the anti-aging skin care industry by uniquely combining Omega 3-6-9 with the most advanced peptides and Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) in its Divine Age Guardian formulation. The formulation utilized a new trans-dermal delivery technology to help the anti-aging ingredients penetrate deeper and more effectively into the skin.
The company announced two new formulations in 2012, the Divine Brightening formulation and Replenish Moisture formulation, which specialized in skin lightening and post treatment care. Enhancement of existing products, as well as intensive research and development for new products, allows Perfective Ceuticals' laboratories to be highly sought-after by many market and industry segments. Perfective Ceuticals also offers research, development consultation and private labeling services for cosmetic firms and dermatologists seeking to dispense their skin care products in the U.S. and abroad.
I would love to hear about anybody else's experience with this brand!
What products have you used?
Which products would you love to try?

January is Pamper Busy Moms Month (Giveaways!!)
What are your New Year's Resolutions?
I made a few, lol, as usual, but who knows if I am going to have the time to get through the list?
I live a very eventful life, and at any hour of any day, this family can be thrown into topsy turvy mode!
We have medical issues, little 2 year olds who find amusement in dumping full containers of Coffeemate cream all over the carpet, problems with my husband's tractor trailer, (yes, we are self employed so the problems are our problems!), pretty much anything can happen, and it has. 2012 has been a very crazy year and I am honestly happy to wave goodbye.
Like everybody else, I make a little list of things I would like to accomplish, throughout the year, and by the end of the year. I figure, if I give myself a year, it will get done. (My weekly to do lists have lots of transfers from week to week), and with Deegan getting a little older, I am hoping this year is the year this little monkey boy calms down.
I realized I had a whole pile of gorgeous products to give away and review, hair products, vitamins, eye cream, (my favorite beauty product!!), gift cards, and breath freshners, all kinds of things that are going to help with my own personal resolutions, so I thought, maybe some of you have a similar idea for 2013.
I am going to take more time to take care of myself for once, I know this is rough, and sometimes if we even get showers, they might last 5 minutes. Maybe this is partially a resolution for my husband and kids, lol, but either way, I am somehow going to make time for me, and along with this comes confidence, self esteem, and hey, who knows? Just maybe, I will get more accomplished;)
I am 38 years old, and and a grandma now, so, I have to take more time. (Ok, maybe I am grabbing here lol), but I am just going to do it, and pray this works this year.
If you are anything like me, and I know a few of my readers quite well, so I do know that a lot of you are. Whether you can relate with chronic pain disorders, neurolgical disorders, being a grandma, or even just being a mom or wife, we all need to take more time for ourselves. Imagine how much more pleasant things would be at home for our husbands and kids, if mom had more time....
I will start posting giveaways today, the more you enter, the better your chances of winning!!
If you share, and tweet, the more entries you receive!
and if you are a blogger and would like to help promote or advertise, I will be adding free links, (up to 10), as well as extra links for $1.
The proceeds will be going to create beauty mom boxes to send to 5 wonderful busy moms who could really use a pick me up, and who really deserve it!!
If you are a brand who is reading this, please contact me at busymommylist@yahoo.com oif you have products or books even that would fall in these categories. We would love to get these reviews and giveaways all done in time for Valentine's Day!!

Elite Serum Review
As a lot of you already know, I am a die hard eye cream fan! I always have been, I think I kind of thought that if I would take care of everything when I was very young, I wouldn't ever have to worry about any wrinkles, crows feet, laugh lines, fine lines, dark circles or puffy eyes. But as I got a bit older, I see that it didn't keep them away completely. (I'm not really looking my age quite yet, but I am fearing the day I wake up and look 10 years younger in just 1 night!).
So, any new serums, creams, any anti aging discoveries are fascinating to me and I try to read up on this as much as possible. I applied to try Elite Serum, and was delighted to receive a, "yes!" reply.
I fall in love with any good product, especially skin care, or body care items, anything that will help me or anybody, look and feel our best. I rarely find a product that gives almost immediate results.
I did find a few of these super special, amazing treats that really do something like make me say, "Oh wow!! It doesn't just mask the absence of results by making my skin feel baby soft and smell pretty!" Yes, there are some products out there that kind of make you think it is doing something just by the way your skin might feel. Which isn't that bad, especially if you are simply going after a "feeling" rather then actual real time results.
Elite Serum, IS one of the products that showed me real results, and that alone is enough to boost self esteem or confidence of any 38 and a half year old grandma;) (If only Elite Serum could make a diet serum that truly works........)
I have a giant sense of humor, maybe an odd one, but I laugh at lots of things and little things make me happy, so I am often smiling or cracking up over something. So, one thing I have noticed is I do have those annoying expression type lines that pop up a bit more nowadays when I'm giggling at everything like I'm 7 lol. Some people think those are ok, I think they are a tiny bit ok, but when I am a grandma and I am trying to at least halfway clear up my skin, and the signs of aging, it would be nice to see them halfway disappear. I have seen a pretty fair difference after using this product for a few weeks.
It is simple to use and comes with it's own little massaging tip for the serum!!
I also see a difference in the skin around my eyes being a bit more firm. I haven't been using this serum long enough to have to grab a refill, but when I am out, this is something I will go grab again.
Just the 2 small changes I have seen with my own eyes is enough for me. Like I said before, I am not super wrinkly so I would believe that if I can see these changes, I can only imagine what this product will do for others! I hope it's still around for me to use in 10 and 20 more years:)
1 container should last you about 45 days, which is pretty accurate. I also like the prices they offer.
If you want to order 1 and that's that, it will cost $89.95 plus shipping. However, you can opt to grab a sweet discount and order an Elite Serum for $59.95 plus shipping, and every 45 days they will automatically send you a new one. BUT, you can cancel at anytime. You do not have to take the next shipment. (although I think most of you will end up kinda liking the next shipment;)
