Toe Juice and Hog Wash with GIVEAWAY!!

We received a combo pack of Hog Wash and Toe Juice to use and review and I have seen and heard the names on Facebook, Twitter, and other blogs, but I wasn't really sure what it was for, how it worked and what the brand claims to do. I have to admit, I was cracking up a bit at the names, and the kids were happy to hear the Toe Juice and Hog Wash names, lol. Of course they made up their songs, and jokes, and all those neat things little kids do.
After a few hours of this, I realized how clever the names were for these products, not to mention, I checked them out online after receiving an email and found that there are a bunch of people out there who have nothing but good and wonderful things to say about this company and their products. I was anxious to receive the Toe Juice and Hog Wash, I love to try any product that is family friendly and has such a die hard following, this stuff sounded like gold!
I checked out their social networks and was delighted to see there is a lot of activity, they seem to keep up pretty well with their fans, run lots of deals, specials, and tips, and giveaways. (This is always a plus with me when checking out a brand or business)
So, what is Toe Juice and Hog Wash, exactly?
First off, I love the story about how this was created.... In 1970, Royce Garner, who was a high school science teacher in Boise, Idaho, produced his first batch of Toe Juice®. His endeavor began when his infant son had flaking, dry, cracked feet. The many lotions and creams were ineffective and messy. So Royce did some research, went to his lab, and came out with a revolutionary new product. Not only did it fix and prevent further complications with his son's feet, but over the years many friends, family, and acquaintances have benefited from the strength of Royce's Toe Juice®. Those who benefited from the fast drying liquid, often encouraged Royce to take it public.
**The above paragraph was taken from the official Toe Juice website**
That was neat to me because I always say, parents know best, and well, this does fall right in line with being a science teacher too;) I thought this was so cool how, Royce Garner, was helping his son and Voila! He did.
Ok, so now, what is this stuff??
In my experience, Toe Juice is some pretty fascinating stuff that seems to be a helpful aide in almost any skin condition and in my case, even the rashes I get from having RSD/CRPS. I know most of my readers know about my disability, and even though I have had it for so long, it is still a mystery most days. But, I get 1st and 2nd degree burns and burn blisters, (No, I wasn't burned, the inside feels like fire, a burning pain, but somehow my nerves are telling my brain I am being burned and then they try to protect me with the welts and blisters, I know, hmmm strange isn't it?) I suffer from these burning welts and blisters every week, sometimes more then once a week. So, I tried Toe Juice, thinking it may cool it down a bit, which it did. It also, helped the rashes I get on my legs, ankles and feet, after the welts went down!
Besides having the rashes and burns, I also have very dry skin on my feet, especially my heels. I work on my feet, and have for years, as a bartender. I have dropped many cases and kegs on my toes and feet and have had nothing but issues since my career started. I read that Toe Juice helped others with similar problems, and of course this was kind of why this miracle stuff was invented! I thought there could be no way. Although it didn't clear it up completely, (It doesn't claim to either!), it did improve my very severe dry skin issue a LOT! I figure that when I buy some more, I can use it regularly and see an even bigger improvement.
We also used this at our house for insect bites, Ugh! I hate the itchiness, it drives me nuts! I had to say goodbye to one of my closest friends, Bactine, because Toe Juice has replaced it in our medicine cabinet.
Here are some other skin issues that others have shown and felt improvement in when using, Toe Juice..
Acne ,Diabetic ,Jungle Rot, Ringworm, Insect Bites, Cold Sores, Foot Problems, Athletes Feet, Jock Itch, Warts, Eczema, Ichthyosis, Psoriasis, and Misc Skin Irritations. That's quite a list and so far, with our families ailments, yes, indeed it has done a fine job with helping us!
We love Toe Juice at our house also because it is all natural, plant based, is not sticky or greasy and it definitely doen't smell funny! The ingredient in Toe juice that is so amazing is: DermaVine® DermaVine® is a blend of plant-based extracts that enhance the skin’s natural repairing ability. It contains willow bark, lemon peel, and Cinnamonum extracts.
Ok, onto Hog Wash..
Hog Wash is a hand sanitizer that is infused with DermaVine® and is designed to naturally promote new skin growth and keeps your hands clean, hydrated and soft.
There are 3 little ones here, so yes, we use hand sanitizers. My main issue with hand sanitizers are the stickiness and alcohol smell, and this is something I can not stand. I have found products in the past that are not real sticky and even some that are not as alcoholy smelling, (I am not sure if that is a word;). Hog Wash is that product that has defied the odds. I don't know how, but it is not sticky in the least bit, and although it smells like alcohol at first, it evaporates and the smell is gone, just like that! Hog Wash will also have it's own shelf here at our house from now on.
The next thing I like to check out, are the prices and availability of the products, whether online or in stores, and promos, deals and sales. This is a strategic test made by Moi;P
Toe juice and Hog Wash get 5 stars ***** for sales, prices, and all the other stuff I just mentioned above.
Where can you find these products?? You can find them at Walmart, Amazon, Walgreens, target, Acme and several other stores. you can check their site for stores near you.

Cook'n Recipe Organizer Software Review and Giveaway

I had the opportunity to review Cook'n Recipe Organizer software, and I have to say, this is one of the most useful and most brilliant products I have seen yet! Not just since blogging either.
There is nothing left out with this software, and if you cook, love to cook, bake, anything, this is probably the best recipe organizer software you will ever come across. I honestly am very impressed with this, and when I first started trying this out, I just kind of sat here, thinking, wow, this is absolutely awesome! The only thing that would make this any better, would be if it were in an actual book form, but that just isn't possible, most of the organizer has to do with finding recipes, creating cookbooks, and things that you need a computer for;) But you can print and that's where this beats any other website or recipe software I have seen, and used.
Here are some of the best features of this software:
You can type ingredients you have on hand to find recipe ideas!
You can drag and drop recipes to create a menu for your family. (this is one of the features I use the most!)
You can auto generate shopping lists by aisle. (Another big time saver for me!)
You can scale recipes to adjust serving size. ( Another very handy tool!)
Calculate nutrition of your recipes.
Capture recipes from your favorite websites.
This software can be synced with your iPhone or Android.
You can share your recipes through email.
Of course you can enter your own recipes.
You can create and print a cookbook directly from this software! and they always offer free updates. Another favorite feature of mine is, you can use custom themes to personalize your recipes.
So far this software has been nothing but helpful, and I use it every couple days. I have tried each aspect of this, except create my own cookbook, but I plan on it very soon! It is easy to use, and that goes for anybody. I also really appreciate the free updates because this is something that always holds me back from buying software. I have made that mistake before, and it seems as soon as I make the purchase, an update appears, and it is usually only offered at a discount price.
Cook'n Recipe Organizer software is also guaranteed 200%, which means they will refund your money and they will purchase the software of your choice for you.
You can find, Cook'n on Facebook.
and on Pinterest.
GIVEAWAY!!!
Wouldn't you just love to win this software! I promise, it will make your life much easier and less stressful! Cook'n Recipe is generously offering 2 of our friends, a free download of this software! Just please make sure to comment on this post with your email, and let us know which feature you believe would help give you more well deserved time:) Enter through the Rafflecopter, as there will be many ways to enter to win. The more you enter, the better your chances.

Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops

Remember being a kid and loving those cherry flavored cough drops that kind of tasted like candy and I know at least my mom, always said, "They are more like candy then cough drops! They don't work!!" She is right, and I haven't bought them since for my own kids. But when I was in school and somebody had a box of them, they were a tasty excuse to have something to eat while you were sitting there, waiting for the end of the day.
I always do have cough drops in the medicine cabinet, we use them, a lot of people do. I think it's pretty neat that something as simple as cough drops, or throat drops, have such an interesting story behind them.
Mr. Pine, a German confectionary maker, determined that by combining the soothing natural qualities of glycerin with the healing properties of gum acacia, he could sooth and mitigate the mild discomfort of a sore throat. Add in some natural flavoring and a sweetener and voila, Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops were born. "I have discovered something," Pine wrote, "which will give quick throat relief to thousands afflicted as I was." He added,"Perhaps I won't make much money out of this. But I can make people happy, and that's more important than money." Mr. Pine was being unduly modest, as his "discovery" would become one of the most successful, most delicious and most unique throat lozenges in the world. Nor has the recipe changed appreciably since it was first introduced to the public over 140 years ago.
**Quotes taken from Pine Bros **
The Life Saver company actually purchased Pine Bros back in  1930, and flourished. From there, it was resold, and resold some more, and just like everything else, the original recipe got cut, packaging changed, until it really isn't what it started out to be.
Luckily, the creator and former owner of, Airborne, Victoria Knight-McDowell, for her new company 3 Sisters Home Products™. Much time and effort has been spent locating the original recipe and putting these softish throat drops back in classic packaging.
You can purchase these at CVS, (1 of my favorite stores!)

We were sent a few bags of each flavor, honey and cherry. Both passed the all the tests that the little ones, and me, use in order to make our final decision of whether we love it or not;) Indeed these are absolutely tasty and definitely something the kiddos have no problem with using when they have a cough, a sore throat or are stuffed up. That is of course the biggest obstacle! Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops also pass the mom test! They really work and help! They do provide relief for sore throats, and the price is right, and I can easily find these at CVS!
This is a product that will indeed be in our medicine cabinet and in backpacks.
Compared to 2 other big brands that we do use and always have, Pine Bros is the 1st choice for the kids. That being said, they are now my first choice. Anything that will help the kids feel better, and won't cause a battle of any kind, is perfect in my eyes!
You can find Pine Bros on Facebook
and you can find them on Twitter!
If you head on over to their Facebook page, click on the Sweepstakes tab and enter to win a gift card for CVS, valued at $500!!!!
That could take care of your shopping for several months if you are a big coupon and Extrabucks fan:)

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

R.L Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series Halloween Party

My whole family just loves Halloween! So, when we had an offer to host a party for R.L Stine, the kids were super excited!
Both Genevive and Aaron are big fans of R.L Stine and most of The Hub TV shows, so when our box arrived, they started digging through it and getting ready to prepare for their Haunted Halloween party.
We originally had a party date planned, and my oldest daughter also had a Halloween party planned for the night before,so we kind of twisted the 2 parties together.
Most of their relatives were coming, ages 5 and up. ( With the exception of Deegan, who is 2, but also had a fun time in his little ninja suit!) My oldest daughter also has a few friends with children around these ages, so we had a good turn out of 13 kids and some parents.
Along with the DVD of R.L Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series Halloween, premiere episodes, we received T shirts, glow in the dark snap bracelets, glow in the dark fangs and Grampire stickers.
Grampires is the season 3 premiere, episodes 1 and 2. The kids thought this was pretty cool, a retirement community of vampires! It was quite original and fit well of course.
A brother and sister go to visit their grandpa at his retirement community and end up finding out that some pretty scary vampires live there, and their grandpa ends up having to do what he can to save his grandchildren from these maniacs. ( This may end up explaining why little ones sometimes find these types of places so creepy:)
Along with watching the Grampires episodes, the kids had a few games, snacks of course, and also had a pumpkin carving contest. I think the most favorite was the jello eating contest!
Even a couple of the older kids played this game.
the object of the game was to see who could finish a bowl full of Jello, first, BUT, they also had to have their glow in the dark fangs in! This definitely made this much harder!
I believe this is also a lot harder then what it looks like!

Of course the little bat princess in the back, ( That's Genevive), and deegan, didn't want to participate, but they did have tons of fun painting pumplkins for the pumpkin carving/painting contest.

Everybody agrees that The Hub and R.L Stine, added a lot of spooky and creepy fun to their party and they especially loved all of the goodies they took home after the party. I think a few of them are still thinking about their grandpas and grandmas.....

I was selected to be a MommyParties host as part of a promotional program with MomSelect. All opinions are my own.

Oranum

I recently had the opportunity to review this website, Oranum. Oranum, is a website where you can find thousands of psychics, and get personal readings from whichever one you choose.
I have always been fascinated by psychics, and have read many books, and have had many readings throughout the years. Usually I just get Tarot card readings, but I also have studied iridology, and auras, and have read many books about astral projection. So, this was definitely a project I was thrilled to do. I do want to mention that although my review is not to be on the psychics themselves, but more on the website itself, I want to make note of the fact that I received 2 different readings, from 2 different psychics, that I personally chose, and I am so impressed and satisfied with the results, that I will be keeping my account open and visiting them both again!
I started an account, which was simple, and quick. All you need is your screenname, password and email, and you are set! They will send you a confirmation, you simply confirm, as with any website, and you are ready to deposit funds into your account. It was a painless process, total time from starting a new account to adding funds, 5 minutes. They take major credit cards, and the amount of credits range from $19.99 to $99.99. This transaction is of course, secure, and a receipt is mailed immediately after you complete the transaction. After that, you are ready to choose your psychic!
What I found very cool about this site is that you can read each psychics profiles, and reviews and even have a free chat with them, before you order a private reading, (The psychic of your choice will have their hours of operation listed, and if they are on while you are there, they are on a live webcam!) You can search for psychics by type, and you can search for individual psychics, or you can check out the top rated psychics, and choose from there.
There are many different types of categories, anything from palm reading, to email readings, (you don't have to talk live with them, you can message and for a reasonable price, $14.99, you can ask for an email reading), to chakra healing, tarot readings, angel cards, dream interpretation, help with love, money, health, the list is endless. It may take a while to rummage through all of the categories and psychics until you find 1 or 2 that stick out for you. The site makes this whole process very easy as well. Each psychic is rated by other users, and they are posted in squares on the website. You can read the first sentence of that persons profile and you can see the star rating they received and the price. They start at 99 cents per minute. If you want to read more, you click on the square and it will take you to their complete profile and all of their reviews, amount of people helped, and they also list any specials they offer, as well as a complete list of their specialties. If that particular psychic is on while you are, you will see a live webcam and you can ask questions, chat with other people in the room, and get to know your psychic before you order! (Please do not ask the psychic questions that have to do with your reading! This is what the private reading is for! Also, there are others in the room, not just you, so you shouldn't ask about personal issues when the whole world can see) I love this feature actually! I spoke with several, and found lots of very interesting people. You can use this to see if you clique with your choice, or not. You can also use this feature to see what they offer, and ask questions about price, specials, and they are also pretty well versed in how to use the website itself. Like I mentioned earlier, I did have 2 seperate readings, both of which I was happy with, and 2 different types of psychics, and 2 different types of readings. For the first I did receive a couple answers to questions and I had a card reading. For the second, I asked to give me details on past lives and how they are affecting my personal life today. Both psychics were very professional, and I gave them both 5 star ratings afterwards. (Please always rate them and you can even choose to share on Twitter and Facebook!)
When you do go into a private reading, they will be on a webcam and will talk, you do not have to have a webcam, unless you want too. Otherwise, you can type like I did. You can also choose to call, or again, choose the email reading. I did see some members asking in different chat rooms, if they could just both type, since some were not able to see or hear the psychic. From what I saw, they all said, sure. I would just personally not choose that, since I would rather get the most out of my time, and typing may be a bit slower then speaking.
I received credit for my first reading as part of this project, The 2nd credit was received by a special the website offers, where you choose a psychic with a clock located inside the square and if you spend at least $19.99 in the room with the psychic, they will credit you $19.99 into your account! This is an ongoing deal, and the psychics that offer this do change from time to time. They also have some neat specials throughout the week. This past week was Halloween of course, and they had some candies hidden throughout the website and if you found them, it credited $5 or $10 into your account! (No, I didn't find even 1 lol) I also had to request help from customer service once, because my credits from the special were not deposited into my account. But I was well taken care of within 12 hours and the credit was deposited! (they do ask for 24 hours, so just in case you ever have to contact them, it may take less or more time then my personal time)
My only complaint about this website, is that I wish I could have something that tracked my time a little better while in a private reading. With both of my readings, there was only a box above the psychic, when my account hit a minute worth of credit. In both readings, I wish I would have known well before the minute. After my few days of visiting several psychics, and using as much of the site as I could, I am very pleased with Oranum.com.
You can also check them out on Facebook and Google+

Minty Fresh House Cleaning and Giveaway!!!

I love house cleaning, this is no lie, I swear! I would love to have the time to do housework, lol, but when I do have time, I enjoy cleaning, dusting, scrubbing, all of it. I especially love the smell of a clean house, the fresh scent of spring air, open windows, and house cleaning products that don't have chemical smells, and overpowering scents that smell like a hospital. Especially with children and pets in the house!
I usually shoot for all natural cleaning products, and I do use the antibacterial cleaning wipes in the kitchen and bathroom. But other then that, I would rather just use basic cleaners with pure scents. My favorite scents are fruity scents, like lemon, minty scents and clean scents. They seem to be longer lasting and with kids and pets, this is needed, big time!
I was very curious in this quick and simple cleaning agent, that I personally never thought of myself. This is a product that is always around and always available, and very reasonable in price, and I never even attempted to use them...
Denture tablets!!
Effervescent Denture Cleanser Tablets are found at any grocery store, drug store, and discount stores. These are super cheap, usually just a few cents for each tablet, so when you compare them to the cost of other household cleaners, with or without coupons, you can certainly save quite a bit by replacing some cleansers with these tablets!
There are tons of uses, anything from bath toys, (this is 1 of my favorites!), make up brushes, (another favorite!), coffee pots, porcelain sinks, glass stove tops, enamel, hair brushes, pencil holders, toys, the list is virtually endless.
Caution: If you Google search the many uses of Effervescent Denture Cleanser Tablets, you will probably come across many people who swear they clean jewelry, however, this is something you may not want to try. The tablets could actually weaken metal and dull gemstones, so it is probably best to stay safe and continue using jewelry cleaners instead.
These are also very simple to use. I used a cup, filled it with hot water, and grabbed a sponge and dripped the fizzy, minty cleaner directly on our flat, glass stove top.
When we bought our house, this was the stove that was here, and I never had a flat top stove so I was excited to be able to cook and not ever have anything boiling over and landing in the bottom of the burners anymore. I wasn't thinking about the burning on top, and when I looked closer at the stove top, realized it was so caked on already, I never thought we would get it clean. Not to mention, all of the extra burnt food and liquid I would end up getting all over the burners as well.
I tested these tablets out on this burner first...
With 5 minutes of soaking and then a small amount of scrubbing...
Most of what was on the actual burner, was easily removed. Some of what was built up along the sides was also easily removed. Layer by layer, it has been coming off, and there are even sections where there isn't anything left. (After wiping with a clean dry cloth)
I like the fact that this didn't take a lot of scrubbing to see a difference! This is also from at least 8 years that we have been here, who knows how long this has been built up before we arrived!
There are no oily residues, no stickiness, and a fresh, minty scent that will have you rummaging through your little ones bins and bath toys, just so you can soak it all in hot or warm water and these amazing, simple, fizzy little miracle tablets!
Here are a few suggestions for your house cleaning with denture tablets:
Coffeemakers – fill the reservoir with water, add a few tabs, soak for a while or overnight and rinse well. Don't run through heated cycle. Rinse well and run a clear water cycle.
Cruets / Decanters   – break tabs into small pieces to fit inside hard-to-clean small-necked glass or ceramics. Let soak for a couple hours or overnight. Shake occasionally and rinse well.
Kids Bath toys – 3-10 tabs in a pail of hot water with toys. Soak for 30-60 mins and rinse well!
Enamel / Glass / Stainless cookware – soak in water with 3-10 tablets to remove burnt-on spots and crusty stuff. Scrub lightly if necessary.
Porcelain sinks – Add 4-10 tablets to standing hot water in sink and soak 30-60 mins (or overnight) to remove tough stains. Scub lightly if necessary. Leaves sparkling.
Little stuff – ideal for make-up brushes (swish & soak just the bristles) mani-pedi tools, toothbrush holders hair clips, hair brushes & combs, pen/pencil holders, cosmetic trays etc.

Collageit FREE

I recently started getting better at taking pictures and figuring out how to edit and all of the cool stuff all these mom bloggers do, and I also have a couple cool scrapbook programs that I love! I like collages a lot, and always thought they were the most fun to make since you can make them any way you choose, and they are all so unique and your very own:)
I also started to become a fan of Pearl Mountain Technologies, especially since they have offers from time to time for free downloads!
You can download Collageit for free, here!

If you aren't a big collage fan, you can also use Collageit for posters, scrapbooks, and albums!
Collageit is very simple and easy to use, a big plus for me! But at the same time, you can have professional looking pictures and collages, and it is quick to put together, no need for manual adjustments, just a few clicks.

I would love to see your creations! Please feel free to share your links to your posts here in the comments, or just let us know what you thought of the free download.
