Little Rockstar Animations
If you are anything like me, or any other busy mom, or dad;) You are always on the lookout for videos, games, books, anything, that will keep your little nes occupied long enough for you to be able to get a few small chores done around the house. (Or even just so we can escape for a few minutes!)
I found this channel on Youtube, (yes, Youtube is one of my very favorites since there are so many cartoons and videos that are fit for my little ones!)
Little Rockstar, has some of the most adorable and most charming animations I have found, and these guys just love this channel!
Deegan's favorite is The Three Billy Goats Gruff, I actually had to tear him from my laptop just a bit ago, because I needed to get on here and get a few things done lol!
The only thing I have an issue with is (well, it isn't really an issue), but I never get my laptop back! Especially with Genevive and Deegan, they will watch the same videos a hundred times if I let them, and Genevive can work the videos on her own. Thank goodness!
I am sure you have probably seen some of Little Rockstar's videos all over Facebook throughout Christmas, we have been in love with all of their neat Christmas videos and songs, and again, this gave me time to seriously get laundry and dishes done. Very sweet!
One of our (well, mine), New Year's Resolutions was to have more time to get things accomplished, housework, online work, spring cleaning, projects, etc you know, the regular old to do list(s). Little Rockstar is already helping me with this, and when the 2 smallest ones are driving me crazy, and I need to get just 10 minutes of things done, this is what we do. Plug in the laptop in the kitchen and Genevive takes control and they pick their favorites! Instant sanity for me!
You can find them here on Twitter!
and on Facebook!
You can also follow The Little Rockstar's blog, (this is a good idea, because you get to read some super posts and check out some very awesome artwork and learn about all of the new videos!)
There are also some very neat posts here and I love the descriptions of the videos. Deegan is ecstatic just with sitting next to me when I read The Little Rockstar blog, I believe most of this is due to the background, more specifically the monkey lol!
The artwork is just amazing and all of the singing and voices are done so well, very professional. These little ones absolutely love the voices of the characters. Genevive is a sucker for cuteness;p
I would love to hear what you and your kiddos think of The Little Rockstar videos. I'm sure you will find lots of your favorite kid songs, and fairy tales here and the Christmas songs are still up and according to Genevive, Christmas is everyday from Christmas until her birthday, (January 10th), so they will still be well loved here at our house.

Dragon and Wolf for iPad/iPhone
If the pictures above aren't enough to make you fall in love with this enchanting children's story, the characters certainly will make sure you do!
Dragon and Wolf is a remarkable, unforgettable, fairy tale of 2 little boys, Dragon, and Wolfy.
Dragon and Wolfy are 6 year old boys, with lively imaginations. Anything to make their not so adventurous town, entertaining, they dream all kinds of dreams, they rescue a ship , and solve all kinds of secrets. They end up being little heroes and help the stars find their home.
What makes this adorable fairy tale different the most others I have seen, is the sweet illustrations, the animals, the clouds, and there are many additions in this interactive book!!
There are small games for your children, lots on extras and bright, vivid pictures you and your little ones will remember for a very long time!
There is even a cute part where you can shake your device, and make a leaf fall:) It is very easy to navigate, turn pages, a toddler can handle this on their own!
This is a very stimulating mind experience for any age, and the WOW factor is super high! I would love to see this in an actual hardcover book, and on bookshelves in schools, daycares, children's homes, (our own bookshelf too of course!) and I am anxious to see if these sweet little characters come back for more dazzling and exciting stories!
Dragon and Wolf, is available for iPhone and iPad and only costs $1.99 at the iTunes app store. I promise you will feel guilty for only paying $1.99, and keep your devices charged;) Your little ones will want to watch this story, many, many, many times. It's ok though, you will be taken away to a far away place as well, and oh,Your children can choose to have this story narrated, so if you need to get something done, your little ones can hear the story through your device!
There are actually to many amazing parts of this story, I think maybe I am just so excited because it really is a unique story, and fairy tales have always been my favorite. And as much as I like to have the real book, this is truly a splendid way to tell a tale! It will certainly lead to many conversations with your children, and there is definitely a lot in this little story to help build imagination!
You can check out Dragon and Wolf here!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

The Island of Lote by Emily Kinney
The Island of Lote, is very fascinating, reminded me of a fairy tale, but more for modern day. The author has a very magical way about her writing and really captivates you with every word! I was amazed with such a vocabulary, and so much originality by such a young girl. (21 years old, and if I understood correctly, this was started when she was even younger...)
I am looking forward to seeing more from this author, whether it is a continuation of Milo and Simon, (2 main characters in this story), or a whole new "fairy tale" like novel, either way, I can see her having a rather large following of readers who are pre ordering and counting down to the release date.
There really is never a dull moment, more the exact opposite, and you don' t lose interest, you can't, for she has dreamed up an enchanting world, complete with a solid story, characters, that you will be wondering about for weeks after reading their story.
The Island of Lote is the enchanting tale of Milo, a 14 year old "misfit" from America, who has an odd relationship with her parents, and kids her age. She has daily discussions with her best friend, Bob the conscience. Her parents move her to a building that is complete with shopping malls, restaurants, a Walmart, practically everything you could ever need so you will never need to go outside.
Milo is annoyed with her parents, and her new home, and the people in the building, and yearns for something else in life. She loves to cook, but is not able to since her new home doesn't have a stove. (her parents see no need for one since they have so many restaurants inside the same building) So, when Milo, sees a bulletin for camp in Australia, she pleads and begs with her parents until they reluctantly give in, and allow for her to go.
On her way to this camp, her plane has some issues, she, (with the help of Bob the conscience), gets a parachute and lands in the ocean. She manages to find an isolated island, and with the help of Simon, (her soon to be husband), she is brought to safety and introduced to the people (and Simon himself), that she is apparently destined to be with and live with.
The author goes into great detail, adjectives flow very fluently for her, like second nature, and you will be able to see very clearly, all of the people, the fruits, the houses, the island that she will grow to love and well, hate.
I don't want to go into much more detail, for the rest of this captivating tale, will be spoiled for most, but this is just where the story begins.
I won't even be able to say a word about the ending, due to spoiling that as well;)
I recommend this story for pre teens, teens, and young adult, and anybody really, who is a fan of fairy tales.
Make sure you check out the author's Facebook page by the way!! and here!
and she has a website here...
