Finding The Perfect Gift For Any Occasion

Have you ever been invited to a party and you had no idea what type of present to bring? Perhaps it was a birthday party for your grandfather, a baby shower for your best friend’s newborn, or a retirement celebration for a co-worker. No matter what the occasion, when you don’t have the right gift idea, you can become frustrated. Here are some gift-giving ideas to help you conquer the conundrums associated with gifts.

For Children

If you want to find a present that will delight, educate, and not replicate something someone else is bringing to the children’s part, look for one of the themed gifts Richmond VA at an online kid’s boutique. You can find puzzles, science equipment, and even dress-up costumes.

For Newborns

The quintessential gifts for newborns are plushies, diapers, or wipes. Why not give something that will last for years, such as money in a savings account? You could also look into clothing, bedding, or get together with other gift-givers and purchase a significantly large gift such as a bedroom set.

For Acquaintances

For those co-workers or retirement parties, look for cookie bouquets, fruit baskets, or quirky gifts. You may not know the person well, but you can always please someone with a tub of popcorn, a gift card, or a gardening basket.

For Grandparents

Let’s face it; if your grandparents want something, they probably have it. So, what do you get for someone that has everything? If they have a pet, opt for a framed picture. If they love chocolate, try a candy bouquet. If your grandparents complain about cold feet, get them some colorful socks that make a bold statement.

Finding the perfect gift can be a breeze if you look at the tips given above. Think outside the limits of ordinary gifts, and you will find just what you need to delight the recipient at any party.

Whether you are shopping for graduation cards, Mothers Day cards, wedding invitations, or stationary, you're probably already aware of Minted.com. You may have seen their sales or visited their website. (Or maybe you read about them on this blog!) Either way, Minted.com is the top place to go when you're in the market for everything from greeting cards to art. I know, I wouldn't have thought that I could purchase actually artwork and help independent artists through a greeting card website either! You should check out Minted Art! You could spend an entire day searching through their site, going through so many different styles and varieties.

Spring is here! (Well, in some places!) Birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, all of those up and coming spring and summer festivities are all reasons why you should take a look and fill your cart with gifts for all ages. If you don't find what you're looking for you can request to chat with an artist who offers commissioned custom art. All you need to do is choose your artist, click "request", fill out a short form, decide on your custom piece, and all you need is 50% down so your artist can get started. The possibilities are endless with so many artists available. You can check out their bios and work with them directly through the Minted website!

Maybe you don't have a lot of ideas for how to fill up space in your living room or another room inside your house. (You are not obligated to buy and this service is absolutely free!)

There are lots of other options available at Minted. (I know, it's starting to sound more like an art shop than a greeting card store!) You can get your children's silhouette, handprints, footprints, or their artwork foil-pressed, letterpressed, or printed in your choice of color. Maybe you want to have a framed, custom piece with your wedding vows or a favorite poem. (This would also make a phenomenal anniversary gift!)

My Little Pony Toys From Playskool

** We received a few My Little Pony toys thanks to Crowdtap and Playskool, in return for our review. All opinions are our own!**

I am sure a lot of you remember having My Little Ponies as a kid or maybe your own children or younger siblings. My little sisters had these toys and just loved them! I don't know how many times we had to run through the house, trying to help find those teeny tiny combs and brushes they came with!!

As a member of Crowdtap, sometimes we get to sample new products and much to my surprise, being in the Playskool Crew, we were offered an opportunity to review some new My Little Pony toys! (Yes please!)

First up, is the My Little Pony Rainbow Dash Friendship Bus! This is such a cute toy and full of colorful fun for little ones. The price is pretty snazzy for this bus! Especially when you find out that it includes, Rainbow Dash herself! Of course you will have to buy a couple more My Little Pony toys because the bus seats 3 of them and your little one will need to be sure that this is filled to capacity. That's ok though, because, the prices on all of the new My Little Pony toys are more then reasonable.

The Rainbow Dash Friendship Bus, has a button for little ones to push, a little roller, and a door that swings open. They can also open and close the sign on the bus and yes, indeed, they can carry this easily too!

I do really like technology but there comes a time when toys without screens and even batteries are more important, Mainly for imagination and learning how to play with others. Children need to play with boxes and blocks and make crafts and play with cars and trucks and dolls and My Little Pony Friends! Besides the fact that you don't have to set up a bunch of passwords, connect a credit card, and worry about your toddler making several hundred dollars in purchases at the Google Play Store, (yes, this has happened to me!), the packaging won't make your eyes bleed! It's fairly simple and Playskool has kept it fairly simple. Maybe because they know that little kids just like to play and use their imaginations!

If you have a couple toddlers, be sure to grab a collector's set or 2! You're going to want to have plenty of My Little Pony Friends around for everybody. They can fit one in each tiny fist :)

I am buying a few of the collector's sets and I also need a castle or 2 so, I have been checking prices and sure enough, these are usually found somewhere on sale so it wouldn't take much to just go right ahead and stock up for every little girl (and even big brothers and little brothers will play too!), that you know. We are adding these little cuties to our gift guide and what a fabulous gift they would make for your special Valentine!

What do you think of the new My Little Pony Friend line? Did you play with My Little Ponies when you were a kid? Or are you one of the lucky ones who had to search sofa cushions for those itty bitty brushes and combs?

My Little One's New BFF

** We received compensation in return for our review. All opinions are my own. **

One morning, we received a package in the mail and although I knew what would be inside of there, we had no idea which Necknapperz friend it would be. We already decided who would be able to call the new toy/pillow their friend and that was, Deegan. He's 5 and loves stuffed animals, Legos, dinosaurs, Minecraft, Tom and Jerry, all that typical little kid and little boy stuff. But, he loves to snuggle with his animals and his mommy, especially at night. He also needs something soft and cuddly when he builds his fort, fights Enderman, and tries to collect as many diamonds as his little heart desires!

All of the kids watched the Necknapperz video, over and over and over again and they each picked out their favorite ones. (Yes, I do need to order a few since we all fell in love with these adorable, soft, comfy, pillowy pals.) Deegan shrieked with delight when he saw his first pick inside, the tiger!

Not only is the tiger a cuddly friend who enjoys hanging out with teddy bears, all of the kids and even the Lego minifigures. But he is also a helpful friend when it comes to rest and relaxation.

Genevive is always super happy to borrow Deegan's Necknapper while she watches her favorite shows, reads a book, plays Minecraft or takes long rides in the truck. I think everybody's favorite part is the sweet little tiger picture on the pillow after you turn the tiger into a Necknapper.

You can choose from over 20 different Necknapperz friends. They have cool names like, Grizzly the Bear, Hopper the Frog, Oinky the Pig, and Diver the Dolphin. Just like my little ones say, "They only cost $19.99 so we can each pick a couple of Necknapperz!"

Our review of Necknapperz, is a 5 star review. They are well made, very comfortable, even my youngest can easily transform between his new best friend or an ergonomic neck pillow and you can tell each one is made with love. The tiger has the sweetest features and the extra special touch, adding the outline of the tiger onto the pillow, is much appreciated by little ones! Necknapperz would be perfect for families who travel by car, plane, boat, bus, or train. They are huggably soft and provide lots of relaxation and support. (and yes, the price is quite reasonable too!)

You can also find Necknapperz on Facebook.

Personal Amazing Biorhythms Review and GIVEAWAY!

I had the awesome chance to check out a personalized Amazing Biorhythms report, from Because I Tried It.
A Biorhythm chart can help improve your daily life by letting you know the highs and lows of your three internal energies. We have intellectual, emotional and physical. If you manage your cycles, you could schedule around your high days and low days, and quite honestly, since receiving mine, I have been scheduling my better physical days for all the bigger projects with housework and errands. (Like the errands that require taking 3 little ones with me, and running in and out of more then 3 stores in 1 afternoon! Lol!)
I've been quite content since the New Year, which is when I received my chart and was able to go over it and I also marked my high days in my planner, just to keep track for myself.
I am addicted to my planners and to do lists, and I am pretty impressed with my report and the accuracy. Some skeptics have already said, "Well, if you think hard enough, you will have days that are great and if you are reading in your planner that your biorhythms report says you are going to have a super spectacular physical day, then you will!" I am a bit goofy I guess, because I am not really a skeptic with these charts. I am normally a skeptic with a lot of different things. I also think, what is the big deal if it is just my mind making myself think this is accurate? (I don't believe so though, trust me! With all my my physical pain, and RSD and MS, I don't expect ANY good physical days:)
One of my top New Year's resolutions was to make a much happier place inside my own mind, and life, less stress and less chaos. Which is very hard with being a mother of 4, (3 little ones), a pt weekend job, a husband who drives truck, and mega doctor appointments, etc etc etc etc!
I am amazed that this year, which is the first of many, I have actually had some very cool days where I could relax and I could keep my mind on other things. To be perfectly honest with you, I owe a bit of that to this chart I received. It's pretty cool being able to schedule around your low and high days. Of course, there are some days I couldn't reschedule and there will be many like that when there are doctor appointments, school functions, and emergencies. But for the most part, being a kind of sort of stay at home mom, at least through the week, I can schedule things like grocery days, and coupon cutting and sorting days. When the middle 2 are in school, and I had a low day in any of my energies, more physical then anything, Deegan and I just took some breaks and cuddled and watched tv and read books. That helped my more painful days and more stressful days a little less hectic, (at least until the other 2 lil monsters hopped off the school bus, then it was a bit of a different story;)
Skeptic or not, these make very cool gifts! They are personal and certainly show that you put a lot of thought behind your gift and it really could end up being very useful for the recipient! These only cost $2 to have them emailed to you, which isn't bad at all, considering it's a quick, painless, and personal gift. You can also opt to have these mailed to the recipient on stationary, and that's only $6!
Because I Tried It, also offers framed, and international mail. If you do purchase the email delivery versions of any of the personalized gifts that Casie, offers, 100% of the proceeds goes directly to helping children in need. (That's just another reason to purchase these gifts for friends and family members, and Valentine's is just around the corner, HINT HINT!)
If you aren't interested in The Amazing Biorhythm Charts, there is so much more to check out on her site! You can choose a numerology chart, an astrology chart, a name almanac, a character letter, poems, an Anniversary almanac and much more! I think I actually have figured an option out for each person in my life and even for myself.
I always love knowing all of the off the wall facts and quirky news that go along with birthdates and "This Day In History", I am always fascinated by them and they are fun and interesting to receive, give and read!
