Essential Oil Giveaway

Fall is my favorite time of year! Besides Halloween being my favorite holiday, I love the cooler weather, sweatshirts, and sweaters and the crisp, clean scents that fall brings.

Living in Pennsylvania, we have nothing but trees and leaves. People come from all over just to visit and watch the leaves change each year and we get to see this first hand, from our porch! Along with the cooler weather, comes the excitement for snow and lots of anticipated snow days!! (Yes, I have to admit, I love snow days. Even if this means I have to go crazy with all of the kids home from school!) We have a lot of fun planning snow day activities, even crafts and DIY for sleepovers, craft parties, girl's night out, and then there is the food!!

Sadly, we have to worry about frost and this year, it came fairly quickly. I will actually be pulling whatever I can from the red onion boxes, later today. I think I lost the late season potatoes and the beans :/ But, there is always next year! (and mail order produce!)

Essential oils have a major role in my life, house and my family. I try to diffuse different oils depending on what is needed, as well as mix them with homemade cleaning and bath and body products and air fresheners and sometimes, even for cooking and baking. My kids each have their own little, "kid's roller bottle blend packs" that they helped to make and they are pretty good with knowing enough about which oil blends are needed for what things. (Always be sure to dilute heavily with fractionated coconut oil if you are planning on making roller bottle blends for your children!!)

One of the most fun things to do with essential oils is to experiment with them and create different recipes for virtually anything and everything. I use them to make my own fabric refreshers, carpet fresh, hand scrubs, body scrubs, body butters, the list just goes on and on and on! There are so many ways that essential oils can help in our lives.

** I do  not recommend at any time to ever use essential oils in any way, shape or form, to replace what a doctor has prescribed or a doctor's advice. I do believe that essential oils work well for a variety of things and I personally do diffuse them and use them for my family but they do not replace a doctor's advice at all. We still visit our doctor regularly and take medication when absolutely necessary. I do, however, enjoy using them for aromatherapy and for making homemade products for our home, family, friends and even gifts! Please do not ever take medical advice from somebody who is not certified and always, always, always, check with your doctor before making any changes to any treatments or medications!! Some doctors love the addition of essential oils for their patients. My doctor will agree that using black pepper oil in addition to other treatments, for RSD/CRPS is a great idea. **

This is a quick and easy recipe to make and you can use different essential oils, just change them to your liking! It's best to know and understand what each oil is beneficial for before deciding to just dump a bunch of oils together! But, depending on your skin type, skin issues, you can find an oil to fit your needs. Plus, they always smell so fresh and pleasant!

What are your favorite ways to use essential oils?
We use doTERRA oils at our house, but there are so many different brands out there, it is easy to try different kinds and choose your own favorite! If you happen to ever have questions regarding doTERRA, I can definitely help! But, whichever brand or brands you choose, you should leave a comment and let me know how you use essential oils and enter our giveaway!!

We will be hosting an essential oil Twitter party as well and this will be posted in just a few days as soon as we find a good date and time! Of course, there will be lots of prizes :)

Good Luck!!

    1. That's a very awesome idea! I need to get a couple more diffusers.
I try to mix up the bathroom and living room diffusers often and depending on the kids and their moods, I make, " good behavior" and " get along with each other " blends.
It seems to work if I tell them that that's what it's for :D

  12. You actually make it look so easy with your performance but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would never comprehend. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me. I'm looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it! cannabidiol
